Maximizing Your Halloween Candy Haul with Zillow
The real-estate site Zillow has created a trick-or-treat index. Factoring in data like home values, population density, walkability, and safety, the site tells trick-or-treaters what neighborhoods give the best chances of bringing home enough candy to scare any dentist silly.
As a WSJ blog says, Zillow only names the best neighborhoods for trick-or-treating in two cities: Seattle and Los Angeles.
If trick-or-treaters really want to maximize their candy collecting, they should not only go to the neighborhoods Zillow mentions, they should specifically aim for Smarties or Gobstoppers. According to research at a Canadian university, these two candies are most likely to be packed with extra candy—giving trick-or-treaters more bang for the buck. Or is it more bang per treat?
